Very Impressed! Let me start by saying I am very particular with who touches my car, but I am not dissapointed in letting the guys at Ocala Car Audio tint the windows on my 01 Trans Am WS.6 today! They came out great and I couldnt be happier! Now my wife doesn’t have to get mad at all these women peering in at me while I’m driving so she’s just as happy as I am! Thanks alot guys!

Top Notch Service The title says it all. I cannot fault their service in the least despite having two vehicles serviced there for various odds and ends. Very professional, decent showroom, okay floor selection. One drawback…ouch! The prices are a little steep. You get what you pay for here. No bringing your car back so they can fix their problem. First time right…every time I’ve used them. I’m a little spoiled coming from Ft. Lauderdale and having a place like this on almost every street corner, so maybe this is out of the ordinary for a little place like Ocala. But, I trust them to do a terrific job and so should you. You might find cheaper but don’t forgo professionalism. This ain’t Best Buy guys!

Couldn’t be happier I have had more than half a dozen cars customized in my life, and used at least 4 shops to do the work. I have done everything from a simple sub and amp setup to a complete audio video setup w 4 monitors/dvd/playstation/sub. So, I have seen and done just about everything you can do in an auto… I went to OCA just a few weeks ago after deciding to do some work on my Tahoe that I had recently bought. There was a catch on this install however, I had the equipment left over from my Jeep, and didn’t have a ton of money to put in my Tahoe…Just like most people, I had a limited amount of cash on hand to do all that I wanted to do. I had spoke to several local shops abou this job, specifically the one that did over 3k of work on my Jeep. Having most of the equipment that I was planning on using, made this a job that any shop would not make alot of money on. I knew that going into this, and honestly thought that would keep the job from being done….Man, was I wrong!!! I went in and met TJ and Parish in OCA… Both super nice guys that spent over an hour just talking about the eqipment I had and how we could utilize EVERY PIECE of it to save me money…I had to buy the specific pieces to install the amps, speakers and sub into the truck, but nothing I did not need. They NEVER pushed me to buy something I didn’t ask for, and were so quick on the work itself. They did the entire install while I was away on a Biz trip, after I called Parish on his personal cell on a SUNDAY!!!! WOW!!! Now on the actual work they did! I had such a good feeling about what Parish told me he wanted to do in the truck, that I pretty much just let him do his thing, and boy was I ecstatic with what I got…. The Amplifier mount was a beautiful flush mount under my rear seats. They had done so many Tahoes/Escalades, that they knew what would look great, and just did it at very little cost to me…They installed a additional knob to control my bass, that looks amazing. The factory unit works perfect with absolutely no surprises…I really dont know how I could be happier! I couldn’t have been happier with the expierience I had with Ocala Car Audio…Parish has more plans for the Tahoe, and I will be going back to let him finish the Awesome job he has started!!! THANKS A TON PARISH AND TJ!!! See you guys real soon

Looking for a Stereo or Security System “OCALA CAR AUDIO” I went to them for a security system and ended up buying a sound system as well they are very knowledgeable and were able to help me with another problem I had with my new truck. They hooked me up with a new dash and Clarion system the I totally Love. And the Security system give me peace of mind. If you are looking for professional work done on your car. Take my word for it or just check there site. They will set you up with a quality product and install it exactly the way you want it. I give them 5 stars for service and for the work they did on my truck. Good Job!

So you have your dream car and it is everything you want, except you Want Better Sound In Your Car?, well Ocala Car Audio has the cure for what ales your audio system. You say you dont want to replace the factory radio? NO PROBLEM, there’s an app for that! Just kidding, well kind of.

Lets face it, the factory radios in today’s cars and trucks are pretty feature packed. They are coming with Bluetooth, iPod control, video, navigation and more already built in. So why would a shop tell you that to get better sound you need to replace the radio? Good question, as far as Ocala Car Audio is concerned, you don’t. We have the ability to interface with your factory audio/video system and give you GREAT SOUND all the while keeping these features!

One key option I would like to talk about is the Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY interactive signal processor. In short it is a “black box” interface device that takes factory radio signal in and converts it to a usable signal for aftermarket amplifiers of all kinds.

What sets the 3SIXTY interactive signal processor apart from the crowd is its guts, not just its insides but its willingness to go above and beyond what all the sheep offer. You see for a long time people have used simple Line Out Converters (LOCs) to step down high voltage speaker outputs to a low voltage RCA signal. The problem is that today’s audio systems are quickly becoming too advanced to use these simple devices.

Auto manufactures have started using full active audio systems. That is to use multiple channel amplifiers to create the sound you need. You get a pair of channels for the front tweeters, a pair for the front mid-range speakers, a pair for the rear tweeters, a pair for rear mid-range speakers, and a pair for sub-woofers, and a center channel speaker. When you try to integrate with this complex of a system you need some real help to combine all these signals into a usable full range signal, that is a signal that has all the high frequencies, low frequencies and everything in between.

That is where a device like the Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY interactive signal processors come to play. These “black boxes” take this signal and runs them through a digital EQ to help make it full range and make sure they sound the way the music is supposed to.

To go above and beyond this and to make this even better, Rockford Fosgate created 2 versions. The 3SIXTY.1 for basic interfacing and the 3SIXTY.1 for going above and beyond for you listening pleasure.

Both units offer full summing (combining the mixed signals to one usable singnal) as well as an auxiliary input to allow you to plug in your portable MP3 Player or iPod, and a fully customizable equalizer (EQ).

The differences come into play when deciding how much control you want of the EQ and crossover. The 3SIXTY.1 has a simple 12db sub-woofer crossover at a set frequency while the 3SIXTY.2 has a full 3 way cross over with 62 different cross over points with a 24db per octave slope.

There are also differences in the EQ side of things. The 3SIXTY.1 has a 5 band EQ that has set frequencies, the 3SIXTY.2 has a full 31 bands of 1/3rd octave equalization for more tuning and control of you audio system.

First is you should know know why you want an alarm. This may seem simple but lets think about it. Do you want to keep people out of your car and keep the contents of the car in the car? This seems to be the core request.

Most modern alarms come with some basic features that target this first goal. They tie in to the vehicles door triggers, the ones that turn on the inside lights when the door gets opened. They also have what is called a shock sensor. A shock sensor is designed to trigger your alarm when some one hits the car hard enough to rock the car. These standard alarms also include in many cases, a starter disable.

But what about if some one shoots the window out with a pellet gun? In most cases the shock sensor does not pick this up. If you would like to have protection in this case, we recommend that you look at a glass breakage sensor. This works with an audio microphone that is designed to hear the glass shatter giving you more protection.

What if some one does gain access to the inside of your car? In many cases the first thing they do is to open the hood of the car. When they do, they may cut your battery cable, thus removing power from your alarm. Or they may simply find the siren and pull it thus making your alarm silent.

To protect in this instant we recommend using a multilayer approach. First the addition of a dedicated battery back up to the alarm will ensure your alarm continues to receive power to be able to set the alarm of and call you back to the vehicle or scare away the would be thief.

Another layer you may want to look at is the battery back up siren. With a battery back up siren, the would be thief can pull the siren from the car and the siren will still be going off in his hand. This is a nice little touch.

With the extra battery back up siren and the primary battery back up, you still need to be called to the vehicle. This is where a 2 way system really comes in to play. A standard alarm will only work 1 way, meaning you send a signal to the car from your key fob and if you want to know what is going on with the car, you have to be in hearing range. With a 2 way system your security system takes the initiative to call you back to the car in case of a disturbance. You can be at the movies or your favorite restaurant and know your car is safe, after all it will call your key fob if there is a problem. Many of the new Viper Security systems will give you up to 1 mile of range.

Do you have nice wheels? Do you want to keep them? Then you may also want to look at a digital tilt sensor. With a digital tilt sensor, your security system will be triggered if some one tries to jack your car up to take the wheels. It will also trigger if some one tries to tow your vehicle from where you left it.

What if you have to leave your car at the airport or you are out of town, or just farther than 1 mile from your vehicle but want to ensure your car or truck is safe. Today we stared working on the new Image Dynamics audio system. The system will be a pretty simple set up. Today we pulled the doors apart and received a full Dynamat treatment. It will house a set of Image Dynamics 6.5″ mid-bass speakers. The kicks will receive matching speakers as well as a set of Image Dynamics CD Ultra horns under the dash. These speakers will be powered by a pair of Image Dynamics 700.2 amplifiers. For bass, there will be a pair of ID MAX 12s with a matched pair of Image Dynamics 1200.1 amps. With all the signal passing through an Audio Control DQXS for processing.
