One question I have heard more times than I can count is "why put so much music in a car?". Well to me that is a simple answer, it is passion. Nothing moves the masses or even just one single person like music. Music is the heart and soul of a society. No matter where you are you are likely to hear music. Music touches the soul. We as a people express ourselves with music.

For so many, music is a MAJOR part of our lives, we take it every where with us. We wake up to it, listen in the shower, in the car at the gym and any were we go. If you are like me, then you spend a good amount of time in your car. For me it is 20-30 minutes in the morning and again in the evening. I spend a good hour every day in my truck. To make that ride more enjoyable, it is important for me to have access to great sounding music.

Think about how music makes you feel when you hear it at a good enjoyable volume? Think about your top 5 or so favorite songs, how do they make you feel? Sitting here now I am listening to Christmas Carols on my Yamaha home receiver with Mirage tower speakers. While I know I am in central Florida, I can not help but let the sounds of "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" take me back to Illinois as a child going to Bunn Park and sledding down a huge hill in the snow, or going outside having a snowball fight with the neighborhood kids and then coming in and drinking some hot chocolate that Mom made.

Music has the power to just take you away to a distant place or to a different time like nothing else I know of. When I hear the sounds of Billy Idol's  Rebel Yell, AC/DC's have a drink on me, The Eagles' Hotel California, Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven or even today listening to all the Beatles/John Lenin songs being played to remember the anniversiary of John Lenin's death it puts different feeling in me. I know that many people feel the same way when they hear the songs that move them.

With the time people spend in their cars today, it just makes sense to me to have great sound in their cars. I often think of an old Harley Davidson shirt that a buddy of my Dad had, "If I have to explain, you would not understand".
