Not long before taking possession of this gorgeous 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt edition, the owner contacted the team at Ocala Car Audio to schedule an appointment for the installation of paint protection film and window tint. The car arrived at our shop with only 40 miles on the odometer, ready to be protected from stone chips, scuffs and scratches.
What Is Paint Protection Film?
Also known as clear bra, the 3M Scotchgard Pro Version 4 paint protection film we use is a completely transparent, 8-mil thick protective urethane layer that we apply right over painted surfaces on the vehicle. The ultra-durable urethane absorbs impacts from gravel and stones to prevent chips from occurring to keep the vehicle looking like new. Likewise, bird droppings, road tar and tree sap won’t stain the covering.
We applied film to the door handle cups, the side mirrors, the front bumper, the hood and the front fenders of this awesome Dark Highland Green pony car.
3M Scotchgard Pro Version 4 comes with a 10-year warranty that covers peeling, bubbling, cracking and yellowing. Best of all, even if the client moves to California or New York, he’s protected right across the country.
Mustang Bullitt Window Tint
The client also wanted the windows of his new Mustang Bullitt tinted. We brought the car into our dedicated tint bay to begin the process of cleaning the windows in preparation for the installation of 3M Color Stable film. Color Stable tint has a rich, dark look that matches the appearance of OEM tinted windows. The film offers 99% UV protection to keep the interior of the car looking like new.
We cut the film for the Mustang on our CNC plotter so that we wouldn’t have to use a knife of any sort on the vehicle. Some shops prefer to lay pieces of film on the outside of the vehicle and shine a light through the window to cut on the glass. This process can leave scratches and marks on the glass and exposes the installer to the risk of damaging rubber seals or trim pieces. Our computerized film cutting eliminates those risks.
