Ocala Car Audio Offers Upgraded Marine Audio Systems

Upgraded Marine AudioAn upgraded marine audio system from Ocala Car Audio in Marion County is the best way to make your time on the water more enjoyable this summer. Our sales and installations teams have decades of experience in upgrading sound systems on everything from small fishing boats to cabin cruisers to all-out yachts. Let’s have a look at some of the options available to make your marine audio system sound better this season.

Premium Marine Speaker Solutions

Upgraded Marine AudioNo single component in an audio system is more important than your speakers. You could have the best source unit, amazing amplifiers and a cool installation. But, if your speakers aren’t up to the challenge, the performance of the entire system will suffer. We offer marine speakers from JL Audio, Memphis Audio and Kenwood that are specifically designed for outdoor use. They are designed to perform in applications with high-levels of UV exposure. These speakers feature materials that resist chalking, yellowing, fading, and cracking, even after years outdoors.

High-quality marine speakers offer more than longevity; they can handle lots of power to ensure your marine audio system will sound great. Even when you are crashing through the waves or cheering on the skier at the end of the rope at the top of your lungs!

High-Power Marine-Grade Amplifiers

Upgraded Marine AudioMarine amplifiers differ in construction from their car audio brethren in the materials they use inside the chassis. Aluminum extrusions and cover plates, and stainless-steel terminals and hardware ensure that these amplifiers won’t corrode in the high-humidity environment of a boat. The majority of marine amplifiers feature a corrosion-resistant coating on the circuit boards that prevent moisture from corroding the fragile connections.

In terms of power, the marine amplifiers we offer use high-efficiency Class-D designs to maximize the available energy from your batteries when the engine is off. This reduction in electrical load allows you to play your audio system longer and louder than conventional amplifiers.

Upgraded Marine Audio Source Unit Options

If your boat is more than five years old, chances are it didn’t come with a source unit that includes Bluetooth Audio streaming. Adding Bluetooth has been one of the most popular feature requests over the last few years. We offer radios with and without CD mechanisms that include Bluetooth. Most include options for SiriusXM, direct Pandora support and multi-zone volume control. We can add wired and wireless remotes to most of these source units. Many are now compatible with the NMEA 2000 connectivity to Garmin, Lowrance or Simrad multifunction devices.

Expert Marine Stereo Installations

Ocala Car Audio is well-known for our fanaticism when it comes to marine installations. We take the time to ensure every component is mounted securely so they will withstand anything you throw at them. Our wiring practices ensure reliable operation. We use materials that are specifically designed for marine applications. Finally, the way we design upgraded marine audio systems ensures that your music will sound great from anywhere onboard. Most importantly, the system will be easy to use!

Ocala Car Audio Returns to Downtown Ocala

Ocala Car AudioWe are very proud to announce that Ocala Car Audio has returned to South Pine Street in downtown Ocala. That’s right! After first opening at this location nine years ago, our team is back in the heart of our community with the same level of passion and dedication that has made our business one of the top mobile enhancement retailers in central Florida.

Why did we decide to come back to this store? It’s not about the size, the visibility or the traffic statistics. Ocala is more than just a city; it’s a true community. We couldn’t think of a better way to honor the passion and enthusiasm for our city than to breathe new life into this historic car audio location.

The Store

As you can expect, we are renovating and rejuvenating every aspect of the store. We’ve painted the exterior of the building and Anderson Tree Care has cleaned up the property, Carpet One has installed new carpet, Loco Graphics has installed new signs, Gooden Electric upgraded the electrical service for our needs, and we have brand-new Avidworx displays for our showroom. Our clients will be able to interact with and experience the products they are interested in purchasing better than ever before. We even have room for a motorcycle and car in the showroom to help demonstrate some of our many product and service offerings.

If our team has your vehicle in one of our two audio installation bays or our dedicated window tint and paint protection bay, our client café will be available for you to relax or get a little work done while we work on it. If you get a little hungry or thirsty, Jimmy John’s, Feta, Starbucks and Taco ‘N Madre are only a few footsteps away.

While we had a little more space at our previous location, the layout here on Pine Street is much more efficient. We can move cars in and out of the bays faster, which translates into improved efficiency. Everything is designed to provide our customers with better service and an amazing experience.

Our Team

A team is made up of more than one person, and the crew at Ocala is one of the best in Central Florida. Our management team has almost 70 years of combined experience. Everyone at the store understands the importance of giving our clients an exemplary experience at every interaction.

Our Community

It’s clear that the City of Ocala is investing in the downtown area, and our goal is to do the same. Motorcycle Audio Amplifiers Make Your 2-Wheel Audio Come Alive

Motorcycle Audio AmplifiersMotorcycle audio amplifiers from Ocala Car Audio are the key to enjoying your music at realistic volume levels. Factory-installed stereo systems are typically a balance of size and cost, designed to keep casual listeners content. For people who truly enjoy their music, factory audio systems rarely provide the accuracy, details and volume capabilities to impress. Our staff members aren’t just audio fanatics; we love motorcycles as well. Let’s look at how an amp can breathe new life into the sound system on your bike.

Power Is the Key

Let’s look at a new Harley-Davidson Road Glide – its 107-cubic-inch engine can produce 111 lb-ft of torque at roughly 3,200 rpm. If you weigh around 200 pounds, this power is pretty good and will accelerate the bike nicely. What happens when you have a friend on the back and the saddlebags are loaded? Suddenly the 1,050-pound bike is more like 1,300. Pulling out to pass or merging on the interstate isn’t the same. The solution? You need more power.

When it comes to reproducing music, two factors limit how loudly the system can play: amplifier power and speaker design. In most cases, you run out of power first. You’ll know when this happens because the sound from your stereo becomes garbled and distorted. The only way to fix this is to add an amplifier. We offer compact amplifiers that will fit comfortably inside the fairing, saddlebag or Tour Pak and provide three to four times as much power as the factory source unit.

The Benefits of Motorcycle Audio Amplifiers

Motorcycle Audio AmplifiersWith a properly configured amplifier on your bike, you can turn the volume up without distortion. Your music will be clearer, louder and much more dynamic. Drums and bass guitars will have more impact. Vocals will be crisp and detailed. The difference is quite impressive!

If you want to take the performance of your system even further, upgrade the speakers on your motorcycle as well. New speakers can handle more power, play louder and produce a lot less distortion. Speakers are easily one of the most important components in any audio system. Without great speakers, even the best source unit and amplifier in the world will sound mediocre.

Expert Installation by Ocala Car Audio

As we mentioned above, proper amplifier configuration is essential to the performance of the audio system. Our team of expert technicians has installed thousands of amplifiers in cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. They have the training and tools required to make these amps sound great. Even plug-and-play kits require some configuration – if you aren’t familiar with the process, you may end up with a system with a lot of background noise or one that doesn’t play as loudly as it could.

Upgrade Your Motorcycle Today!

If you are in Marion County, drop by Ocala Car Audio and speak with a member of our sales team about our motorcycle audio amplifiers and speakers. We usually have several employee bikes onsite that you can audition. Our team will take the time to understand your goals and provide you with an upgrade solution that works with your budget. Popular Backup Camera Solutions Available At Ocala Car Audio

Backup Camera SolutionsIf you wish you had eyes in the back of your head, drop by Ocala Car Audio and check out our backup camera solutions. Backup camera systems aren’t just a great idea: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wants all new vehicles to include a rear-facing camera system. Given the staggering number of accidents and injuries that happen every day, we have to agree. Let’s look into how we can upgrade your safety and the safety of those around your vehicle.

How Does a Backup Camera System Work?

Backup Camera SolutionsBackup camera solutions are relatively simple. We will install a weather-resistant camera on the back of your vehicle. The location is chosen to work in concert with the camera’s wide field of vision to help identify objects that are directly behind or even off to the side of the vehicle.

The secondary part of the system is the display. We offer a wide variety of display solutions and work with each client to find a display option that is easy to use and blends both functionally and cosmetically with their vehicle.

The image from the camera appears on the screen as soon as the transmission is in reverse. There are no additional buttons to press. Day or night, you can see everything behind the vehicle in detail.

Camera Mounting Options

We offer a wide variety of camera mounting and integration solutions for our clients. We have license plate frame mounting brackets and stand-alone mounting solutions for lip and flush-mount applications.

Backup Camera SolutionsIf you own a pickup truck, several of our product partners offer replacement tailgate handles that feature a built-in camera. Likewise, we have third brake light assemblies with integrated cameras for SUVs, vans and trucks. Finally, Jeep Wrangler owners can choose from several mounting options that locate a camera inside the spare tire on the rear door.

Image Display Options

Being able to see the camera image is crucial to the functionality of the system. We have four image display options available for our clients.

  • Aftermarket Source Unit: If we are upgrading your vehicle with a multimedia receiver to add CarPlay or Android Auto, we can easily display the rearview camera image on the color display.
  • Factory Infotainment System: Thanks to companies like VOXX, VAIS, Metra and PAC, we can feed the image from an aftermarket camera to the color display on many factory-installed color screens.
  • Rearview Mirror Display: One of our most popular display options is a new rearview mirror that includes an integrated color LCD screen. When the camera system is off, the mirror looks just like the one that came with your vehicle. Once the camera activates, the image is visible through the mirrored surface.
  • Stand-Alone Monitor: If there are no other options, or you want a large display, we can install a stand-alone screen to display the camera image. We have screen size options from 3.5 inches to more than 10 inches to suit almost any application.

New Driver Safety Products Available At Ocala Car Audio

Driver Safety ProductsDid you know that Ocala Car Audio could enhance your vehicle with the same driver safety products found on high-end and luxury vehicles? We offer blind spot monitoring systems and backup camera solutions that are compatible with almost every car on the road. Let’s look at some of the amazing collision avoidance products we offer.

Backup Camera Systems

It’s no surprise that back-over accidents are frustratingly common. In many vehicles, it’s simply impossible to see objects or people behind us when backing up. These accidents are avoidable with a backup camera system. We can integrate a compact camera into the back of your vehicle, and we carry a variety of options for displaying the image.

Our cameras include systems that integrate with your license plate or mount to the underside of the trunk lip. We have application-specific cameras that replace the tailgate handle on pickup trucks and third brake light assemblies for SUVs. We can display the camera image on many factory-installed color displays or install a new rearview mirror with an integrated screen.

Parking Sensors

Driver Safety ProductsIn the same way a camera system lets you see what’s behind your vehicle, our parking sensor systems provide an audible alert when you are approaching an object. The biggest benefit of a sensor-based system is that you don’t have to remember to look at it. These systems beep faster and faster as you get closer to an object, finally producing a constant tone when you are within about 12 inches. We can even add sensors to the front of your vehicle to let you know when you are getting close to a curb or wall.

Blind Spot Warning Solutions

Wouldn’t it be nice to know if someone was in your blind spot? Our radar-based blind spot monitoring systems illuminate a small icon when someone is driving beside you. If you turn on your turn signal, a buzzer will warn you to look over your shoulder.

We also offer a variety of camera-based blind spot monitoring systems. We can integrate a compact camera into your side-view mirror assembly. When you activate your turn signal, the image from the camera appears on a screen. In many of these systems, we use a new rearview mirror to display images from the camera.

Forward-facing Digital Video Recorders

Driver Safety ProductsHave you ever witnessed an accident and wished that you had been able to record the events leading up to it? Even worse, what if you were involved? We offer a wide selection of compact digital video camera systems that record everything that happens in front of your vehicle. These cameras include built-in accelerometers that record vehicle motion. Many also store location and vehicle speed information using a GPS receiver.

An optional packing mode will record video when the camera detects motion in front of the vehicle. Have you ever wondered which cat has been walking across your hood at night, or if someone has been scoping out your car while you are asleep? Drop by and let us show you some of the different dash cam options we have available.

Expert Vehicle Integration Services

As important as the hardware in these systems is, proper installation plays a key role in determining their effectiveness and reliability. Our team of technicians has more than 150 years of combined experience in working on every type of vehicle imaginable. We plan and execute every installation so the system will be reliable, easy to use and look like it is a part of your vehicle – not an add-on.

See the Latest Driver Safety Products Today

Are you frustrated because you need to buy a sunroof or motorized tailgate to get a backup camera on your new car or SUV? Ocala Car Audio can save you thousands of dollars on your next vehicle purchase by installing the driver safety products you want. Drop by our store or send us an e-mail using our contact page for more information.

Popular Driver Safety Products for RV’s, Commercial and Tow Vehicles

Driver Safety ProductsWhen it comes to driver safety products for RVs, tow trucks and commercial vehicles, Ocala Car Audio has a solution for your unique application. From intelligent forward collision warning systems to sensor and camera-based parking and blind spot monitoring systems, our team of product specialists can help you find a technology that makes your time on the road safer. Let’s look at some of our most popular safety and collision avoidance solutions.

Parking Sensors and Backup Cameras

The simplest and most beneficial safety system we offer is a backup camera or parking sensor. When you are backing into a parking spot or maneuvering a crowded parking lot, knowing if there is an object behind you can prevent costly damage and potential injury.

Our parking sensor systems integrate into your rear bumper and use ultrasonic transceivers to monitor the area behind your vehicle for objects. These systems produce an audible warning when they detect an object. The warning alert beeps more rapidly as you get closer to an object. This help you to park efficiently and safely. We can add parking sensors to the front of your vehicle for added safety and front-end protection.

Driver Safety ProductsA rear vision camera system is a perfect add-on to a large vehicle like a pickup truck, SUV or van. Our cameras are compact, yet provide a wide field of vision. Backup camera systems work automatically, displaying a clear image as soon as you put your vehicle’s transmission in reverse. We can integrate the camera image with many factory color screens. If you lack one, we can upgrade your vehicle with a new rearview mirror with an integrated LCD screen or add a secondary monitor for commercial applications.

Several of our camera solutions include image-based forward collision warning and lane departure warning solutions to help you drive safely.

Video Recording Systems

Driver Safety ProductsOcala Car Audio carries a wide variety of digital video recording systems. Often called a dashcam, these compact video recorders capture everything that happens in front and behind your vehicle. Kenwood’s DRV-N520 dash camera has been very popular thanks to its ability to integrate with many of their multimedia receivers for configuration, warnings and video file playback. The Momento series of dashcams from Firstech include front and rear high-resolution cameras, and an on-screen display for easy video file playback. BlackVue offers a wide variety of camera solutions, many of which include a built-in WiFi hotspot so you can link your smartphone to the camera via an app.

Many of our dash camera solutions have a parking mode that will record when the camera detects motion or vibration. Dash cameras are a great solution to keep an eye on your vehicle while at work or at home in bed. On the road, you can protect yourself from fraud and false accusations with a premium dashcam.

Blind Spot Warning Systems

Driving a motorhome or recreational vehicle can be challenging. We offer video camera-based blind spot warning systems that help you keep track of everything around your vehicle. Our custom solutions included dedicated left and right cameras that activate automatically whenever you activate your turn signal.

If you are driving a vehicle with a plastic or fiberglass rear bumper cover, our sensor-based blind spot warning systems are a great solution. As soon as another is vehicle is beside yours, a small amber warning light will illuminate. If you turn on your turn signal while someone is in your blind spot, the system will produce an audible warning beep.

Paint Protection Film and Window Tint Make a Great Pair!

Paint Protection FilmCombining paint protection film and window tint from Ocala Car Audio is a great way to protect yourself and your vehicle. Each product provides a barrier against long-term damage from environmental hazards. Paint protection film keeps your car’s paint looking like new and free from stone chips, stains and scratches. Window film not only adds some style to your vehicle but the UV and IR energy-blocking properties can protect you from the sun’s harmful effects.

Paint Protection Film Protects Your Investment

Paint Protection FilmIt’s a fact of life that your car’s paint is going to take a beating over time. Paint chips from gravel and stones, swirl marks from washing and the potential for stains and blemishes from bug splatter or tree sap slowly degrade the look of your vehicle. Our paint films are durable barriers that we apply directly to your paint. This clear film is made of urethane to absorb impacts and prevent paint damage.

We can apply paint film to almost any painted surface. The front edge of the hood, the front bumper and the mirror covers are the most commonly protected areas. For added protection, we can cover the entire hood, and protect the fenders, rocker panels and door sills. The top of the rear bumper is another area that takes a lot of abuse – a strip of film to guard against damage that happens when loading or unloading is a great idea.

Window Tint Does More Than Just Look Great

Many people ask to have their windows tinted to change the appearance of their vehicles. Almost all window films on the market offer excellent UV-blocking properties. UV rays cause materials to fade and dry out. Unfortunately, they also contribute to skin damage, including causing skin cancers. A quality window film offers great protection if you spend a lot of time in your vehicle.

Premium window films are available to block infrared energy, which is responsible for the transmission of heat. Here in Florida, we have lots of hot, sunny days. If you’d like to make your vehicle more comfortable, talk to us about IR energy-blocking window films.

Expert Film Installation

Whether you choose paint protection film, window tint or both, our team of installation technicians uses the latest processes to ensure your vehicle will look amazing. We have partnered with 3M to offer its Scotchgard paint film and Crystalline and Color Stable window films. These are considered the highest-quality materials in the industry.

Add a Little Extra Protection Today

If you are looking for premium film products and expert installation, drop by Ocala Car Audio and talk to our team. You can reach us by phone or e-mail for more information.

Motorcycle Audio Installation is Best Left to the Experts

Motorcycle Audio InstallationWhen it comes to motorcycle audio installation, Ocala Car Audio in Marion County is an expert. Installing and modifying motorcycle sound systems has been a way of life for the staff at Ocala for nearly a decade. Owner Parish Tanner grew up riding motorcycles. In fact, his entire family rides whenever they get a chance. We don’t just talk about motorcycle audio; we live it.

Premium Motorcycle Audio Products

Motorcycle Audio InstallationOur experience in designing and installing motorcycle audio upgrades is an extension of our marine audio system experience. The vibration and sound level challenges are similar in both applications. Obviously, motorcycles offer significantly less space for speakers and equipment. Our team has tried most of the solutions available and knows what speakers and amplifiers work to deliver amazing sound, even when the throttle is cranked wide open. Our motorcycle audio products can handle sun exposure and harsh vibrations from the biggest engines. They shrug off rain, dust and dirt. We have high-power amplifiers that are compact and efficient, and our speaker upgrades can handle the power from that new amplifier so you can crank your system and enjoy it for hours.

Expert Installation and Integration Services

The materials and techniques we use to upgrade the audio system on your motorcycle are as important as the products we choose. Wiring, fasteners, connectors and harnesses all need to provide the same level of performance and reliability we expect from speakers, amplifiers and source units. How we make electrical connections, route wiring and even the way we protect the finish on your bike are carefully planned to ensure your upgrade experience brings you countless hours of trouble-free entertainment.

Full-Time Mobile Electronics Specialists

Motorcycle Audio InstallationOne topic that comes up frequently with our motorcycle clients are the audio upgrades that can be purchased and installed at shows throughout the year. Both the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and Daytona Bike Week see vendors from all over the country celebrating every aspect of the motorcycle culture. We see many “pop-up” retailers selling and installing sound system upgrades at the shows. While some of these systems perform well, some are mediocre. Our biggest concern is after-sales service. If you have a problem with anything we’ve installed, you can call the shop and we’ll schedule an appointment to resolve the issue. If you’ve purchased speakers or an amplifier at the show, where will you go if you need help? Some show vendors go so far as to relabel products under their name. These modifications void the warranty on those units. We service what we sell.

Ocala’s Motorcycle Audio Installation Experts

When it’s time to upgrade the sound system on your bike, drop into Ocala Car Audio and speak with one of our motorcycle audio installation experts. We would be happy to demonstrate the systems on our bikes and develop a custom solution for your cruiser. From a new set of speakers in a fairing or saddlebag to custom speaker pods on your highway bars, our team will ensure your music sounds great at any reasonable speed. You can call us at 352-512-9897 or send us an e-mail using our online contact FORM at any time for answers to questions about our products and services. We look forward to hearing from you!

Ocala Car Audio Builds Great-sounding Marine Audio Systems

Marine Audio SystemsOcala Car Audio creates some of the best marine audio systems in Marion County. Since 2008, we have made designing and installing premium marine entertainment systems a fundamental part of our business. We have partnered with industry-leading brands like JL Audio, Fusion, Kenwood, Memphis Xtreme and Aquatic AV to provide our clients with reliable, high-performance products that not only sound great but offer excellent value.

Marine Industry Experience

Marine Audio SystemsOur founder, Parish Tanner, worked in the engineering department for some of the top boat builders in the country. His hands-on design experience with brands like Regal Marine, Grady White, Key West, Pro-line, Moomba, Chris Craft, Caroline Skiff, Chaparral and more have provided him with a unique understanding of boat manufacturing and client expectations.

During this time, Parish received his American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) E-11 Electrical Certification. This training and subsequent certification ensures that he understands the guidelines and specific requirements related to working on and upgrading the electrical and entertainment systems of boats. This accreditation is crucial to the safe design and installation of marine audio systems.

Marine Wiring Practices

We use several unique products and processes when installing marine entertainment systems. First, we always use marine-spec wiring. Unlike conventional car audio wiring and cables, our marine wiring is designed to withstand exposure to high-humidity and saltwater conditions to prevent corrosion and damage to equipment. Where we make electrical connections and how we route wiring protects it from damage by moving parts and interference with factory-installed electronic components.

Our battery system upgrades ensure that life support systems like bilge pumps, navigation lighting and ship-to-shore radios will always remain functional. You will always have enough power to start the engine to get home safely, even after a day spent partying at the local sand bar. Isolating the entertainment system from the system batteries is not an option – it is the only way to do it right. The reliability of your boat and your safety is our number-one priority.

Ocala Car Audio Marine Installations

Marine Audio SystemsWe use a product called Starboard to create speaker adapters, subwoofer enclosures and amplifier mounting racks. Starboard is a high-grade polymer that we can mill in the same way we would use wood, but unlike wood, it will not rot or degrade when exposed to water, ensuring that whatever we create for you will last for decades.

We use stainless steel fasteners in all of our installations. Carbon steel fasteners will corrode quickly when exposed to saltwater. Nobody wants to see a line of brown rust running to or from that new speaker installation.

System Design

Whether we are working on a Cigarette, Fountain or Donzi off-shore race boat, or a Mastercraft, Moomba or Malibu wakeboard boat, every system we design offers exceptional performance, reliability and ease of use. Our choice of speaker and subwoofer mounting locations optimizes sound delivery for everyone on board. Bluetooth streaming, chart plotter integration and satellite radio options are no problem for us.

Marine Audio Systems and More

From a simple radio upgrade or speaker replacement to lighting and accessory installations, Ocala Car Audio can handle everything your boat needs. Drop by our store at 804 NW 27th Avenue and talk to a member of our team, or e-mail us using our online contact FORM for more information.
